Studies at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, New York
Khalidah Al Essa begins her formal training in holistic nutrition at the IIN in New York — the foundation for what would become Blue Zone's product philosophy.

First kiosk at the Kuwait farmers' market
A small booth stocked with fresh organic produce. Within months, demand from the local community overtakes supply.

2016
First Blue Zone shop opens in Alseibh
Our flagship store opens in the Alseibh area of Kuwait City, expanding from produce to imported organic groceries, gluten-free products and natural supplements.

Community workshops begin
We launch our in-store workshop programme: fermentation classes, gluten-free baking, kids-in-the-kitchen, parent coaching and seasonal nutrition talks.

What started as a personal interest in gut health and longevity quickly became a calling. After training in New York and Europe, Khalidah returned to Kuwait and built Blue Zone on three simple promises: products with real nutritional value, sourced transparently, and shared freely so customers can make the choices that fit their goals.
